i have been reading this classic literature for weeks now and it seems that I just couldn't finish reading it even if it is of a size of a pocket book and less of an half-inch thick. i don't know why. the literature, Letters to a Young Poet by RM Rilke, aroused my curiosity when a young brother and friend shared to me a quote from one of these letters. i was "moved" (tagos na tagos) to say the least, by what the message meant and as i reflected upon it, the gist of the message was so relevant to all the doubts, things and questions i am experiencing in my life right now. i should wait for my questions to be answered--- especially the complicated ones. I CAN'T FIND THE ANSWERS ELSEWHERE BUT INSIDE MY HEART. I JUST HAVE TO WAIT AND EXPERIENCE AND LIVE BY THESE QUESTIONS THEMSELVES. the quote says, (its quite long, but its worth reading!) (:
i am sharing this quote hoping that someday, someone who is going through the same things as i am will have the same encouragement and enlightenment...even for a while.
"Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them. It is a question of experiencing everything. At present you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day."
